| I would like to add some custom font into the customer display's memory, is it possible? Yes, we can add custom fonts into our pole display's firmware as factory default upon OEM requests. Does Tysso Customer Display support OPOS SDK.? Yes, our customer display model VFD-460 & VFD-660 does support the OPOS SDK. What is the "Printer Pass-through" function, and does your customer displays supporting such function? Yes, VFD-460 & VFD-660 does support printer pass-through connection. How does the Tysso Customer display powered?
How to test my customer display to see if it is working? Go to MS DOS prompt and type the following: mode comX 9600,n,8,1 (X is the COM port where your customer display is attached to) echo any_texts >com1 or type con>com1: (Enter) type any word you like You should then be able to see your typed texts appears on the customer display panel Alternatively, you can simply use the Windows default communication utility - the HyerTerminal: 1. Launch Windows HyperTerminal from your Windows program menu \ Accessories \ Communication folder 2. Give your connection any name 3. Select the COM port where your customer display is plugged into in the pull-down menu. 4. Set the RS-232 handshaking property as the following: Baud rate: 9600, Parity: None, Data bit: 8, Stop bit: 1 Click Ok when finish. Try type something on your keyboard, then the typed message should now be able to displayed on the customer display screen.
